As the Monetization Strategy Lead, you’ll play an instrumental role in building and executing Asana’s product monetization strategy. Reporting to the Head of Pricing and Packaging, you will partner closely with Product and GTM leaders to optimize our monetization strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

This role can either be fully remote depending on which US state you live in, or based in our San Francisco, Chicago or New York City office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. If based in-office: The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve

  • Drive the evolution and optimization of our pricing model, packaging, and discount strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives
  • Maintain an informed perspective on the business by examining operating metrics, customer data, and market trends to spot potential monetization opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to formulate pricing and packaging suggestions, and confidently present these findings to the executive team
  • Undertake detailed product, competitor, and financial analyses to support the development and promotion of packaging and pricing suggestions
  • Participate in determining pricing KPIs and track, monitor, and report on the effectiveness of implemented pricing and packaging changes

About you

  • Accumulated experience encompassing 7+ years in B2B software, which ideally should include 3+ years in pricing at enterprise-level SaaS companies
  • Proven experience in building pricing models, tools, and processes to optimize the pricing strategy
  • Robust analytical skills, encompassing expertise in statistical analysis and financial modeling to help drive data-driven decisions
  • A comprehensive understanding of SaaS pricing, self-serve and sales-lead go-to-market strategies, and buying behaviors of enterprise customers
  • A history of cultivating impactful cross-functional relationships and leading diverse teams to achieve business objectives
  • Familiarity with pricing and packaging research techniques such as Conjoint, Van Westendorp, etc., and proficiency in using survey tools such as Qualtrics

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range will vary based on your location. Locations in the US are categorized into one of three geographic pay zones, and the ranges for the zones are as follows: 

Zone A: $207,000 - $279,000. 

Zone B: $186,000 - $252,000. 

Zone C: $165,000 - $223,000.

The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed ranges above are a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified. 

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
