Finance Transformation Manager - Quote to Cash

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, curious, and analytical leader to help us achieve our operational and financial goals while embodying our company values. You will join a world-class Accounting and Finance team to help establish best-in-class finance and accounting processes within a fast-paced environment!

You’ll be joining a new and growing Finance Transformation / PMO function within the finance organization. This role will play a significant role in representing finance cross-functionally across Asana, partnering with Finance and Technology as a thought leader, being a driver of high impact Finance initiatives. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve

  • Drive transformation strategy, data insights, automation, program and change management, and compliance for Finance to enhance organizational efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Lead and manage finance transformation projects focusing primarily on the Quote to Cash cycle, including Revenue, Billing, Credit, and Collections processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Operations, and IT to implement process improvements and technological solutions for better transaction efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support key business initiatives involving SaaS subscription complexities, including consumption billing, bundles, and regional billing.
  • Document business requirements and test scenarios in collaboration with technical and finance SMEs.
  • Develop detailed project plans, encompassing timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in finance operations and project management to continuously improve processes.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field  
  • Professional certifications such as CPA are strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operational role in Finance and/or Accounting supporting the Finance organization at a high-growth tech company
  • Big 4 consulting background supporting the Office of the CFO desired
  • Working experience with Finance Applications such as Netsuite, Zuora, Zuora Revenue and SFDC 
  • Strong organizational, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong knowledge of key accounting concepts, GAAP, SOX controls

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $164,000 - $208,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
