Our sales team is focused on finding efficient paths to successful, profitable, long term customers by building a user-driven marketing and sales engine. To do so, we employ a bottom-up enterprise sales model by helping many small, successful customers evolve into larger, successful ones. We act as a key voice of the customer to the product team. We help identify and overcome technical, educational, and competitive obstacles to our continued growth.

We are looking for a driven, hard-working, and energetic team player to join our corporate sales team. This role will be instrumental in powering the Asana revenue engine by identifying and closing new business opportunities within the corporate sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of B2B sales processes, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

This role is based in our Tokyo office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Tuesday, Thursday and one additional day of choice, which may be determined by your team. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on the two other weekdays they are not in office. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.

What you’ll achieve:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the corporate sector
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship building
  • Conduct in-depth discovery meetings with key stakeholders to understand their business needs, challenges, and objectives
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and product teams to develop customized solutions and proposals tailored to each client's unique requirements
  • Present product demonstrations and effectively communicate the value proposition of Asana to decision-makers.
  • Lead negotiations, overcome objections, and close deals to achieve sales quotas and revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and upsell opportunities
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management, highlighting key metrics, pipeline activity, and opportunities for growth

About you:

  • Experience of up-selling, cross-selling, and hunting new business with full sales-cycle management skills, from prospecting to close, preferably in SaaS
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed sales targets and quotas in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment
  • Proven track record of conducting a meaningful conversation and building a relationship with CxO and other stakeholders such as IT contacts
  • Impeccable customer skills: communication, empathy, and integrity
  • Ability to advocate equally for the user and Asana in overcoming challenges
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while also being capable of working independently.
  • A commitment to learning, being adaptable, and having a can do attitude
  • Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools to manage pipelines, track activities, and generate reports.

At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
