As an Enterprise Quantitative Market Researcher at Asana, you'll find yourself at the heart of data-driven decision-making. You and your teammates will collaborate in the analysis of quantitative data to better understand our customers, products, and markets, ultimately illuminating the path toward insightful business decisions. As part of our team, your expertise in survey methodology and data interpretation will be pivotal in partnering with Product and Marketing teams to influence the product roadmap and ensure no customer is left behind. Your responsibilities will extend beyond analyzing data - expect to spearhead consumer research initiatives, translate complex data into clear insights, and creatively inspire teams with compelling stories brewed from figures and trends.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.

What you'll achieve

  • You'll design, administer, and analyze surveys, gleaning important insights concerning product and brand perception, market size and structure, and enterprise customer behavior.
  • You'll work hand-in-hand with internal users of survey data to ensure key insights are highlighted in the right place, at the right time, and within the relevant context.
  • You'll develop cohesive measurement strategies and methodologies to influence product development and business decision-making processes.
  • You'll closely collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, design, data science, marketing, and sales to identify and address knowledge gaps about Asana's current customers and potential market.
  • You'll communicate your research results and recommendations in compelling, creative ways, ensuring that both technical and non-technical audiences can understand and take action on your findings.
  • You'll proactively identify, create, and streamline processes to drive efficient research operations.

About you

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in social science, statistics, marketing science, or a related quantitative field.
  • You have accumulated 5+ years of hands-on experience conducting primary research, either in-house or in a consultancy or agency, during which time you’ve worked with stakeholders to understand and clarify their research needs.
  • You’re just as comfortable doing quick, tactical research as you are with longer-term strategic studies.
  • You are proficient in questionnaire design and survey sampling and adept with quantitative methods like hypothesis testing and descriptive analysis. You have applied these methods to survey data.
  • You can manipulate and analyze data using common statistical tools or languages like R, SAS, SPSS, or Stata.
  • You are an excellent communicator, able to present research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to help us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
