We are looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our APAC team! You’ll be responsible for growing revenue within your diverse book of business - a mix of free and paid accounts across many industries. Selling is a team sport at Asana, so you’ll lead a cross-functional team including SDRs, customer success, solutions engineers and others.

This is a unique opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact by helping win new logos and expand our partnership with existing customers. You’ll be selling to decision makers from various functions across the whole organisation, so you’ll need to be genuinely curious and adaptable.

This role is based in our Sydney office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Mondays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.

What you’ll achieve

  • Proactively source and close revenue within your book of business
  • Develop a plan, using the data available to us, to prioritise your time and focus so that you maximise revenue generated from your book of business
  • Educate your accounts on the value of work management platforms
  • Ensure your customers see value from their investment and ultimately expand their Asana usage within new and existing departments
  • Collaborate with SDRs, Customer Success, Renewals, and Solutions Engineers to maximise the value we provide to, and unlock from, our customers
  • Experiment with new processes and socialise your findings to potentially be scaled across other teams globally

About you

  • 5+ years experience in a closing sales role (ideally both hunting and farming)
  • Ability to land and expand customers in a competitive market
  • Impeccable customer skills: communication, empathy, and integrity
  • Ability to set & create repeatable processes that support a high variety of customer interactions
  • Full sales-cycle management skills, from prospecting to close
  • Experience working with SDRs, customer success, solutions engineers, internal marketing, business, and product teams to find efficient paths to successful and profitable customers
  • Take pride in your work - have strong operational rigour and be reliable e.g. accurate forecasting

At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply.

What we’ll offer

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognise you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $160,050 AUD - $ 204,050 AUD, with commission paid on top. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
