In general, the six phases of construction projects are:

Define your project scope and goals. Before you add any tasks, clarify what you're building, the expected timeline, and the key goals for your project. Document these details at the top of your plan, so every team member understands the big picture.
List your key stakeholders and team members. Identify everyone involved in the project, including the general contractor, subcontractors, the client, and any external partners. Assign roles so each person knows their responsibilities from the start.

For example, your schedule might specify that a plumber must install bathroom fixtures between 9am and 12 pm before an electrician can install wiring in the afternoon.
When creating your project schedule template, add start and end dates to each task to specify exactly when they should be completed. To keep things on track, you can also flag dependencies, tasks that can't be started until the previous one is completed.
A construction budget template (also called a budget estimate template) helps you plan and track how much you're spending over the course of a project. Keeping your budget organized helps you accurately estimate costs for clients, prevent overspending, and improve your resource management.
To create a construction budget template, break down all your project deliverables into sub-dependencies, then estimate the cost of each.
