The Enterprise Technology team supports insights with data and the technical systems that give Asana's teams leverage to achieve their objectives. We work cross-functionally with Asana’s business teams to understand their goals and ensure they receive the data and technical support they need to flourish. As a Technical Program Manager within this dynamic environment, you will own a portfolio of IT projects and influence department-wide PMO processes. 

Joining the CIO’s PMO, Strategy & Operations team, you will foster collaboration across business lines at Asana, focusing on programs that enhance team productivity and enable scalability. By planning and executing projects, you will deliver secure, scalable enterprise technology solutions for internal users. The role requires leveraging strong planning, communication, and collaboration skills to drive large, cross-functional initiatives. You will thrive by bringing clarity to ambiguity, promoting collaboration, and engaging in business process improvements, IT infrastructure, AI integration, and software development. 

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve:

  • Lead the delivery of key strategic cross-functional projects from concept through completion.
  • Manage projects, programs, and processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Own regular program communications, unblock teams, and build partnerships with internal IT teams, Security, Workplace, PeopleOps, Legal, and other business partners.
  • Partner with IT Support and Engineering teams to drive new IT initiatives, taking full end-to-end ownership of project management, including new office/expansion and enterprise technology projects.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate dependencies and risks, ensuring alignment across key stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Promote project management best practices and create repeatable project management processes that help scale our business.
  • Drive the adoption of policies, practices, and procedures through influence and tactful education.
  • Bring a holistic perspective of the IT ecosystem to design and planning decisions.

About you:

  • 6+ years of program management and experience working in IT organizations.
  • Knowledgeable in Program and Project Management techniques, with a proven history of executing in collaboration with a wide range of cross-functional business stakeholders.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects iteratively with multiple dependencies and constraints in a highly dynamic and agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of business drivers, enabling alignment of needs with processes, design of functional solutions, and drive for continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in ambiguous situations, with direction at a high level.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and drive to create exceptional end-user experiences while managing multiple assignments with various stakeholders and timelines.
  • Enjoy distilling complex issues into actionable plans and comfortable with forging paths through new territory.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $194,000-$220,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
