Legal Operations Analyst

We are adding a Legal Operations Analyst to our team to serve as a central resource supporting the optimization of legal processes, technology, and stakeholder management. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient legal service delivery, compliance, and operational excellence. You will be responsible for co-creating and driving projects, processes, and enablement to improve the effectiveness of the Legal team.
This role is based in our Chicago office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve
- Legal Technology & Process Optimization: Support legal operations platforms (such as Contract Lifecycle Management, e-billing, and document management systems), including troubleshooting, system updates, and process improvements. You will provide support for Asana’s CLM systems to enable the business to operationalize requirements from cross-functional teams.
- Contract Management: Responsible for managing commercial contract signature routing in compliance with global signature policies, including DocuSign updates and manual signature routing. You will also administer contracts within the management system, ensuring accurate entry, metadata tagging, and repository maintenance.
- Reporting & Analytics: Assist in developing and presenting analytics and reports on legal operations KPIs, workflow efficiency, and cycle times to inform process improvements. You will support the data collection regarding legal support for the business.
- Enablement & Training: Help design, manage, and facilitate legal enablement programs to provide training on commercial legal processes and tools to the legal department and cross-functional teams. This includes creating enablement materials, FAQs, and updating department policies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build effective working relationships with business stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Sales, IT) to support efficient legal operations. Serve as the go-to resource for legal operations tickets, including requests for assistance, bug reporting, and general troubleshooting.
About you:
- Experience: 3-6 years of experience with in-house legal operations, operations, or procurement, ideally including experience at a high-growth technology company.
- Education: B.A or B.S. required.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Experience with legal operations tools such as Ironclad (or similar CLM), Brightflag, Salesforce, and DocuSign is highly preferred.
- Project Management: Experience using the Asana/or other platform (or a demonstrated ability to become a "power user" quickly) to drive project efficiency and workflow automation.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and draw conclusions from quantitative data to produce meaningful business impact.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on making the complicated understandable to all levels of the organization. You are self-motivated, adaptable to shifting priorities, and able to work independently.
- AI & Innovation: Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $125,100-$142,200. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
