Senior Engineering Manager, Framework Engineering

ReykjavíkApply now

The Framework Engineering team builds the internal platform, abstractions and APIs that power all parts of the Asana web application. From core UI components, client performance libraries to data loading APIs, these frameworks empower product engineers to easily build highly-reactive and fast product features at scale.

You will focus on developing the team around you, helping them contribute more and grow as both engineers and individuals. You will channel your passion and enthusiasm as much into recruiting and building a team, as the technical challenges your team will be resolving.

This role is based in our Reykjavik office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.

  • Partner with other framework and product engineering teams to identify opportunities for enhancing speed and achieving company goals more efficiently
  • Master the art of delegation to scale your impact, utilizing our strong team and frameworks like Asana’s Areas of Responsibility (“AOR”) system
  • Collaborate with a world-class team of engineers to enable new functionality through intuitive building blocks

About you

  • 8+ years of experience working in the technology industry, with 3+ years experience managing a technical team

  • Demonstrated technical expertise combined with empathy and integrity to earn the trust of a technically proficient team
  • An impact-driven mindset, focused on maximizing contributions for both yourself and your team
  • Proven ability to provide insightful input in technical or product discussions
