PromptQL + Asana

What is PromptQL?

PromptQL is a multiplayer AI application that gives teams a shared AI agent grounded in their real data and tools. Connecting Asana lets that agent work directly with your team's tasks, projects, sections, and portfolios — so people can ask it to triage work, summarize project status, find blockers, draft updates, and take action across Asana without leaving the conversation.

Once you connect your Asana account, PromptQL authenticates via OAuth and calls the Asana API on your behalf. Your agent can look up tasks and their assignees, due dates, and custom fields; roll up progress across a project or portfolio; cross-reference Asana work with data from your other connected systems (databases, Google Workspace, GitHub, Slack, and more); and create or update tasks when you ask it to. Every action runs with your permissions, and mutations require your explicit approval — so the agent can move fast while you stay in control.

How to connect PromptQL + Asana?

Prerequisites:

• An Asana account with access to the projects and tasks you want to work with.
• A PromptQL account. Anyone can sign up free at https://prompt.ql.app.

Steps:

1. Sign in to PromptQL at https://prompt.ql.app.
2. In the left sidebar, click Data.
3. Find Asana in the list of integrations and click Connect.
4. You'll be redirected to Asana to sign in and authorize PromptQL. Review the requested permissions and click Allow.
5. After you authorize, you're returned to PromptQL and Asana is connected.
6. Start using it. Ask PromptQL questions in plain language, for example "summarise what my team shipped in Asana this week" or "which tasks are overdue across my projects".
