These Command MCP Terms apply to use of the Command by Asana Model Context Protocol (the "MCP"), a locally-executed MCP server made available by Asana to eligible customers. These Command MCP Terms supplement Asana’s Subscriber Terms, Product-Specific Terms, and any separate agreement negotiated between an Asana customer (“You”) and Asana (in which case that agreement shall govern) (collectively, the "Subscription Agreement"), which continue to govern Your use of Asana's Services. In the event of a conflict, these Command MCP Terms control with respect to the MCP. By downloading or otherwise accessing the MCP you represent and warrant that you have the legal authority to bind the Asana customer named in the Subscription Agreement.
The MCP is available at no additional charge to customers with an active Command by Asana subscription. If You have an existing Command subscription, Asana grants You a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, full-paid-up license to download and use the MCP in connection with Your Command subscription. Your right to use the MCP terminates when Your Command subscription ends.
The MCP runs locally on Your own systems and is not hosted, operated, or controlled by Asana. You are responsible for installation, configuration, and all aspects of operating the MCP in Your environment. Asana is not responsible for data after it leaves Asana’s servers. You are responsible for ensuring that all data flows between Asana, the MCP, and Your chosen third-party AI provider satisfy applicable data protection laws. The MCP is not compliant with HIPAA or FedRAMP requirements and is not designed to be used in such environments.
You must authenticate to Asana through the MCP using Your own API token or credentials. All actions taken through the MCP are attributed to You and appear in Asana as actions taken under Your account. Because the MCP runs locally on Your systems, Asana is not responsible for the security of the MCP and cannot assist with security incidents related to the MCP. You are solely responsible for securing Your API token, limiting its scope to the minimum necessary permissions, and revoking it immediately if You suspect compromise.
The MCP is provided as a point-in-time release. Asana has no obligation to update, patch, maintain, or support the MCP, including if the MCP becomes incompatible with changes to Asana's APIs, the Command product, or third-party AI providers. Asana may discontinue availability of the MCP at any time.
THE MCP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. ASANA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ASANA ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY FOR THE SECURITY OF THE MCP OR ANY ACTIONS TAKEN OR OUTPUTS GENERATED THROUGH THE MCP BY HUMANS OR AGENTS USING YOUR ASANA CREDENTIALS. ASANA'S LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE MCP IS SUBJECT TO THE LIMITATIONS SET FORTH IN THE SUBSCRIPTION AGREEMENT.
Your use of the MCP is subject to the acceptable use provisions of Your Subscription Agreement. You may not use the MCP in a manner that violates applicable law, Asana's policies, or the terms of any third-party AI provider You connect to the MCP.
You agree to defend and indemnify Asana and its Affiliates and their respective officers, directors, and employees against any third-party claims, actions, demands or suits to the extent arising out of: (a) Your registration or operation of the MCP, (b) Your use or misuse of the MCP, including any actions taken within Your Asana account through the MCP; (c) unauthorized access to or use of Your Asana account or credentials in connection with the MCP; (d) any outputs generated or actions taken by Asana’s AI features to the extent the liability arises from data received from Your MCP; and (e) Your violation of these Command MCP Terms, Your Subscription Agreement, or applicable laws in connection with Your use of the MCP. The defense and indemnity obligations described in sections 7(a)-7(e) above include the obligation to pay any amounts finally awarded against Asana by a court and amounts included in any settlement You approve. To obtain such defense and payment, Asana must promptly (i) notify You in writing of the claim, (ii) supply information You request, and (iii) allow You to control and reasonably cooperate in the defense and settlement, including mitigation efforts. Failure to satisfy (i)-(iii) above will relieve You of Your indemnification obligations only to the extent you are prejudiced by such failure.
