What is TaskSnap?
TaskSnap is the Asana browser extension that just works. Capture a task from any web page, selected text, an email or a screenshot — without opening Asana. Set the project, section, assignee, due date (in plain English), tags, subtasks and your project's custom fields, then create or edit tasks straight from the popup or a keyboard shortcut.
TaskSnap is built privacy-first: it never requests the tabs or history permissions, so it cannot read your browsing history. Your drafts, private notes, screenshots and Asana sign-in stay in your browser. Your task data goes directly to Asana — never through our servers — and the extension contains no analytics or behavioral tracking.
TaskSnap Pro adds the ability to edit existing tasks, Gmail capture, screenshot annotation, custom fields, multiple projects, AI-written titles (bring your own key), and automation.
Works in Chrome, Edge and Brave.
How to connect TaskSnap + Asana?
TaskSnap is a browser extension, so setup is quick and easy:
- Install TaskSnap from the Chrome Web Store (also compatible with Edge and Brave).
- Pin the extension to your browser toolbar and click the TaskSnap icon.
- Click Connect Asana and authorize access (or paste your Asana Personal Access Token).
- Your workspaces, projects, and team members will load. You can now create or edit tasks from any page, selected text, email, or screenshot.
No account is needed beyond your Asana sign-in!
