What is TaskPoke?

TaskPoke sends you email reminders when your Asana tasks slip past their due date, so you never miss tax deadlines, recurring payments or other time-sensitive work. Stay on top of overdue work without manual checks. TaskPoke runs in the background and pokes you when tasks need attention.

Features:

  • Overdue task detection — Automatically finds tasks that are past due based on your chosen threshold (e.g. 7, 30 or 90 days overdue).
  • Email notifications — Receive a summary of overdue tasks with direct links to each task in Asana.
  • Filter by tag or project — Focus reminders on specific work (e.g. only tasks tagged "taxes" or in a "Monthly Payments" project).
  • Pro plan — Daily reminders, unlimited tasks, custom thresholds and notification history.

  3. Grant access in the Asana authorization screen.
  4. On the dashboard:
    • Enable Email
    • Set your overdue threshold (default is 30 days)
    • Optionally add tag or project filters
  5. Click “Save settings” — TaskPoke will then run daily (Pro) or weekly (Free) and send email reminders for overdue tasks.
  6. Use the “Preview overdue tasks” section to verify which tasks would trigger a reminder.
