Connect Plansom's AI agent to Asana to turn your tasks and projects into prioritized goals and daily plans
Plansom is an AI work planner that helps teams set goals, plan their work and focus on what matters most each day. Connect Asana, and Plansom's AI agent can read your Asana tasks, projects and portfolios, and turn them into Plansom goals and tasks that are prioritized for you. Just ask in chat, and the agent can also update Asana for you: create and update tasks, add comments and post project status updates.
Ask about your work: "What's due in Asana this week?" or "Which projects are behind?"
Turn Asana work into goals: Group related tasks under a Plansom goal and track progress.
Plan your day: Bring Asana deadlines into a prioritized daily plan.
Keep Asana current: create tasks, update due dates, assignees, and comments, without switching apps
Plansom acts strictly on behalf of the connected user, inheriting their exact Asana workspace permissions. Any changes made in Asana are attributed to that user. Before the agent creates a goal or task in Plansom, it provides a draft for your confirmation.
A Plansom account (sign up at https://plansom.com).
An Asana account (any plan). If your company uses Asana's app management, your Asana admin may need to approve the Plansom app first.
Log in to Plansom, go to Resources > Agents and open the Connectors tab.
Find Asana and click Connect Asana.
On Asana's authorization screen, review the permissions and click Allow. You will be returned to Plansom with an "Asana connected" message. Each connection is for one Asana workspace.
Click New Agent > Build manually, give the agent a name, and describe what it should do.
Under "What tools does it need?", click + and choose Asana under Productivity. Keep the Plansom tool too, so the agent can create goals and tasks. Save the agent.
Click Chat on the agent and ask, for example:
"What's due in my Asana Website Launch project over the next two weeks?"
"Create a Plansom goal called 'Launch the new website' and add the open tasks from my Asana Website Launch project as Plansom tasks under it, with the same due dates."
"Based on the due dates, priority and status in my Asana Website Launch project, what should I focus on today and why?"
"Add a comment on the Asana task 'Finalize homepage copy' saying it is now tracked in Plansom."
In Plansom, go to Resources > Agents > Connectors, turn off the Asana switch and click Disconnect. To also remove Plansom on Asana's side, open Asana Settings > Apps, find Plansom under Authorized Apps, click Deauthorize, then Remove.
