Sync project phases, target hours, and absences from Asana with planned and simplify capacity planning for your timber construction company.
Planned extends Asana with specialized capacity and resource planning for timber construction companies. Projects, tasks, and selected custom fields from Asana are automatically synced to planned as project phases with target hours, and team members are assigned via email mapping. Absences from a separate Asana project feed directly into the capacity calculation, making bottlenecks visible at an early stage. Changes made in Asana are applied in real time via a webhook — without manual exports. Planned does not write back to Asana, but deliberately maintains a focused planning view of the existing Asana data.
Prerequisites: Admin rights in planned and an Asana workspace where third-party apps can be authorized.
Log in to planned as an admin and navigate to "Settings → Integrations."
Click on "Connect to Asana" — the OAuth flow will redirect you to Asana and request permissions.
Select the desired Asana workspace and confirm access.
Back in planned, select the "Source Project" (annual planning with all construction projects) and, optionally, an "Absence Project" (vacation/absences).
Configure custom field mappings (project phase, assignment, target hours for production/assembly).
Trigger user sync — Asana members are automatically mapped to planned team members based on their email address.
Done: Webhooks are automatically registered, and planned stays up to date with Asana. The integration does not write back to Asana.
