Automate time tracking for Asana projects and tasks with Memtime, which runs passively in the background and remembers the amount of time you spent in programs.
Memtime automates time tracking for Asana. It's a desktop app that runs passively in the background and remembers your time in programs. Memtime notes the name of the tab, file, or app you had open at any given moment, helping you remember your day down to the minute.
Memtime stores a private activity log locally on your device and lets you create time entries for quick export to Asana. Track time on projects and tasks, recover billable hours, make better estimates, and take control of your team's most valuable resource - time.
Install the Memtime App, launch it, and click on the menu burger to select Connected Apps.
If you do not already see Asana as a Connected App, you can click on the "Find More Connected Apps" button to easily find it.
This will take you to your browser, and the Memtime marketplace website will open. You can search here for 'Asana' or any other Connected App you would like to try. Once you select Asana, click on the "Connect to Asana" button.
After connecting, go back to your Connected Apps in Memtime and click on "Refresh Installed Connected Apps" to see Asana installed.
Select Asana in your Connected Apps in Memtime and click on "Authenticate".
A new tab will open in your default browser to ask you for your Asana credentials. Please, provide them.
Go back to your Connected Apps in Memtime and click on "Refresh Installed Connected Apps" to see Asana authenticated.
Once you have successfully authenticated with Asana, you can customize your settings. This includes choosing which projects and tasks to import, which options you want to be able to see during time entry creation, and setting up a default start time.
