Clarant + Asana
Manage Asana in plain English — find, create, update tasks, and check project status, all in chat.
What is Clarant?
Clarant is an AI platform for work, and Clara is its AI agent. Clara connects your work tools and lets you act on them in plain English. With Asana connected, you can ask "What's on my plate this week?", "Create three tasks in the Q3 Launch project assigned to me," or "Mark the design review complete and comment that it shipped" — and Clara carries it out in your Asana workspace using your own permissions.
The Asana integration supports finding tasks, projects, portfolios, teams, and people; creating tasks individually or in bulk; updating assignees, due dates, names, and completion statuses; adding comments; reading a task's full activity history; creating projects with sections and tasks; and posting project status updates.
Every action runs as the person who authorized the connection, so Asana permissions are always respected. Connections use per-user OAuth, individual tools can be switched off, and irreversible actions require explicit confirmation in chat before they run.
How to connect Clarant + Asana?
Prerequisites:
A Clarant account (https://clarant.ai/) and an Asana account with access to the workspace you want to use.
Steps:
Sign in to Clarant and navigate to Settings → Connectors.
Find Asana in the list and click Connect.
Approve the Asana authorization screen. The connection is authorized as your own Asana user, so Clara can only access and modify what you are permitted to access.
Clara automatically loads the available Asana tools. From the connector's tool list, you can disable any individual tool you don't want Clara to use.
Start asking questions in chat. No additional configuration is required.
Example requests:
"What Asana tasks are assigned to me this week?"
"Create three tasks in the Q3 Launch project assigned to me, due Friday."
"Mark the design review complete and add a comment that it shipped."
"Give me a status overview of my Asana projects."
To disconnect, navigate to Settings → Connectors and click Disconnect. This revokes Clarant's stored tokens for Asana.
