Organizations from the following regions/countries can participate in the Work Innovation Awards: Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, USA

The Work Innovation Awards program is focused on identifying stories of transformative work using Asana that set new standards in efficiency, creativity, and productivity. If your team, department or organization is leveraging Asana to drive transformational change and innovation in how work gets done, we want to hear from you.

A nomination will only be considered valid when the following criteria are met by the nominee team or organization:

• Must be a paid Asana customer for >1 year.  ​

• The most senior level member of the project or initiative-owning team acknowledges and agrees to participate in the​ Work Innovation Awards and attend the Work Innovation Summit in New York City on October 22, 2024 in person.​

• All nominated projects or initiatives must have launched​ no later than January 2024.​

• The nominated project or initiative must have driven business impact between​ January 2023 to January 2024. 

• Must use Asana to: 

  • Improve how collaboration happens at scale

  • Drive cross-team or cross-departmental work forward

  • Manage multiple use cases 

  • Supercharge organizational productivity by using advanced features – like goal setting, forms, automations, and integrations 

• Governmental entities are not able to participate.

* Please note: Nominations can be submitted on behalf of a team, cross-functional group of teams, or an organization. The most senior leader(s) of the cross-team workflow or initiative must acknowledge the nomination and be listed as the Executive Sponsor.

Best in Class Award

Awarded to the business that sets the benchmark for excellence, this premier accolade celebrates the use of Asana to drive significant business value. The winner demonstrates industry-leading innovation, efficiency, and strategic acumen, setting a new gold standard for workplace collaboration. This award category will be evaluated based on the following: 

• Cohesion: Using Asana to improve how employees work together by creating a single connected workspace

• Velocity: Using Asana to bridge silos, optimize complex or cross-functional processes, or improve data hygiene

• Resilience: Using Asana to improve consistency by sharing organizational knowledge and standardizing and optimizing onboarding processes and workflows

• Capacity: Using Asana to improve employee bandwidth by reducing duplicative work, aligning priorities across teams and tracking workload

• Strategy: Using Asana as a cornerstone of organizational strategy to drive significant business value 

Groundbreaker Award

Awarded to a business or team(s) crafting inventive and boundary-breaking strategies to propel their organizations into the future of work. These game-changers embody the spirit of innovation by pushing the envelope of what’s possible for their workplace—with transformative results. The winner leverages Asana in a novel and impactful way to power innovation in their organization. Our definition of innovation, per the Work Innovation Score, is three-fold: 

• Product innovation: how innovative companies’ products and services are 

• Process innovation: how innovative their business processes, methods, and systems of delivery are 

• Culture innovation: the extent to which companies enable teams to implement new ideas and cultivate a spirit of entrepreneurship, experimentation, and creativity internally

Social Impact Award

This visionary organization is using Asana as a powerful lever for social good. They not only strive for but achieve significant social impact, utilizing Asana to orchestrate their mission-driven work and magnify their contributions to a better world. This award category will be evaluated based on the following: 

• Process impact: how they have transformed work processes or collaboration with Asana 

• Business impact: how their Asana usage drives business impact and change

• Societal impact: how their Asana usage contributes to meaningful social change via the work this company is using it to do 

Tech Visionary Award

These pioneers excel in deploying Asana to unite their technology ecosystems, ensuring innovation thrives unhampered by technological constraints. To be eligible for this award, nominees should be leveraging Asana’s integrations to connect work from across their tech stack. This award category will be evaluated based on the five criteria used for the Best in Class Award, as well as the following: 

• Strategic subtraction: how they use Asana to reduce tech bloat and app switching

• Unified data: how they use Asana as their one source of truth through integrations

• Human-centricity: how they design their tech stack in a human-centric way to promote employee engagement and effectiveness

Marketing Visionary Award

These marketing visionaries utilize Asana not just as a tool, but as a strategic partner to enhance their marketing initiatives and make a tangible impact on their business. This award category will be evaluated based on the five criteria used for the Best in Class Award. Nominees must be using Asana for at least one of the following use cases: 

• Creative production 

• Content calendar management 

• Campaign management 

• Strategic planning 

Operations Visionary Award

This operations team has redefined the art of digital transformation with Asana at the foundation. We’re celebrating those who have used Asana to translate organizational goals into operational reality, achieving change management excellence and business agility at scale. This award category will be evaluated based on the five criteria used for the Best in Class Award. Nominees must be using Asana for at least one of the following use cases: 

• Goal management

• Work intake

• Resource planning 

• Organizational (including business unit, line of business etc.) strategic planning

Yes. You may submit a nomination for multiple categories. However, your organization will only be eligible to win one award. When selecting multiple categories, please ensure you provide the details aligned to each category’s specific criteria. To learn more about each category, check out the nomination kit.

The Work Innovation Awards Judging Committee will take a two-stage approach to evaluating nominations and selecting winners: 

• Quantitative: Judges will evaluate each nominee’s Work Innovation Score 

• Qualitative: Judges will review each nominee’s submitted customer story and evaluate it based on work innovation, strategic acumen, business impact, and vision consistent with the evaluation criteria described above for each award.

Our judges are looking for customer stories that highlight the impactful work our customers are doing to increase their organization’s performance, lower costs, increase productivity and efficiency and improve how work gets done for both employees and customers. When submitting your nomination, it is beneficial to include metrics and measurable results to demonstrate the extent of impact on your business and workforce.

Winners will receive: 

• Special recognition at the Work Innovation Summit in New York City on October 22, 2024. A leader from each winning organization will receive travel expenses including air fare, accommodation, covered travel-related expenses and exclusive access to the summit’s programming, experiences, and networking opportunities. Winners will be notified on August 9, 2024 via email. Winners will be announced publicly at the Work Innovation Summit 2024 event on October 22, 2024 in New York City. 

No. There is no participation fee or additional marketing costs for the Work Innovation Awards. However, failure to accept the award through Asana’s events platforms will result in forfeiture of the recognition. A leader from each winning organization will accept the award  at the Work Innovation Summit 2024 event on October 22, 2024 in New York City. Asana may also invite winners to participate in Asana’s thought leadership platforms (including but not limited to webinars, videos, panel discussions, round tables, etc.) throughout 2024/2025.
