Below are the Asana product features that will be launching between April 1 and April 30, 2025.
Pre-built Smartworkflows with AI studio
Add AI-powered efficiency to your workflows with pre-set AI Studio rules that are ready to use and customizable for your needs.
AI features read attachments from Gdrive, OneDrive, and SharePoint
Asana AI features will soon read attachments from Gdrive, OneDrive, and SharePoint, enabling smarter workflow guidance and improved context for actions like task summarization.
Multi-Task manual triggers
Execute actions on multiple tasks simultaneously, making it easier to scale processes and save valuable time.
Rule execution history
Track and refine rule performance with rule execution history, a centralized log for monitoring activity, troubleshooting errors, and optimizing rules including AI-powered workflows.
Rule ownership transfer
This update allows users to transfer rule ownership to another user, reducing the risk of broken automations when owners leave and improving error handling and notifications for easier rule management.
Dynamic values for people rule actions
Use dynamic people in rules to automate actions based on roles like task creator, assignee, or collaborator instead of static individuals, to make workflows more flexible and scalable.
Team sharing on universal dashboards
Universal dashboards will soon support team and org-wide sharing, making it easier to distribute high-level insights without relying on individual access.
Attribute tracked time to a project of record
Time tracking allows each entry to be attributed to a single project for more accurate accounting, billing, and payroll. If a task is in multiple projects, the attributable project will default to the one where the entry is made.
Portfolio timeline improvements: nested portfolios and group by
Coming soon, you’ll be able to open the right pane when clicking on a line item in a portfolio and access the timeline view for portfolios with nested portfolios, which was previously unavailable.
Ticketing
The new ticketing capability combines features like request tracking, custom task types and statuses, SLAs, timers, and work schedules to help teams effectively manage high-volume, low-complexity intake workflows.
Timer custom fields
Track and manage SLAs with timer custom fields that count down from a set value, enabling automated workflows, schedule-aware reporting, and visibility into the time remaining or expired on tickets.
Improvements to custom task types
We're improving custom task types by adding support for rules using task type, including in AI Studio, and introducing UI enhancements like a new icon, clearer task type and template relationships in the Customize menu, and easier access to project settings with a dedicated button.
Schedule awareness for tasks with dependencies & SLAs
We're updating project schedules to support custom work weeks and hours, so teams can set any combination of working days and ensure that dependencies, autoshifting, Gantt durations, and SLA timers respect their specific schedule.
CMD+K command bar
With the new command bar, you can quickly search, navigate, create tasks, projects, portfolios, goals, and messages, and start a conversation with Smart Chat by simply typing cmd+k in Asana
iOS saved tabs
We're introducing saved tabs to our iOS app to enhance your experience on the web and mobile.
