NerdyTags + Asana

What is NerdyTags?

NerdyTags turns leads from your NerdyTags Business profiles into follow-up tasks in the Asana project you choose. Each new email subscriber gets one task (one per email address, so there are no duplicates), and every contact form submission gets its own task with all the answers in the description. Choose the section, assignee and due date, and tasks usually arrive within a couple of minutes. From the NerdyTags card, you can click "Sync now", send existing subscribers from the last 90 days, pause at any time, or disconnect, which also revokes NerdyTags' access to your Asana account. It asks for five limited permissions (read projects, workspaces and users; read and create tasks) and requires NerdyTags Business, which includes a 14-day free trial.

How to connect NerdyTags + Asana?

Prerequisites:

• An active Asana account with at least one project, and an active NerdyTags account.

Steps:

1. Sign in to your NerdyTags portal.

2. Navigate to Automations and click "New automation".

3. Enter a name, select your desired triggers (e.g., "New email subscriber" or "New form submission"), and click "Create".

4. Under "Send to apps," click "Connect an integration," then select "Connect Asana".

5. On the Asana authorization screen (sign in if prompted), click "Allow" to grant permissions. You will be redirected back to NerdyTags with a confirmation message: "Connected. Finish setting it up below."

6. On the Asana card, open "Choose a project" and select the Asana project where you want tasks created.

7. (Optional) Next to Tasks, click "Edit" to customize the section, assignee, or due date, then click "Save". (Note: A section will only appear in the dropdown list if it already contains at least one task in Asana.)

8. Managing your connection:

   • Sync now: Immediately sends new leads to Asana.

   • Send existing subscribers: Backfills and imports subscribers who signed up before the integration was connected.

   • Toggle switch: Pauses or resumes the integration.

   • Trash icon: Disconnects the integration and revokes access. (Existing tasks will remain in Asana, but NerdyTags will be removed from your Asana Authorized Apps list.)
