## Anatomy of Work Index 2021: U.S. Findings [Infographic]

The way we think about work has changed. But how we work hasn’t kept up.

U.S. workers are missing over one-third of deadlines each week, spending more time in unnecessary meetings (187 hours a year), and on duplicated work/work that is no longer relevant (308 hours a year), than their global counterparts. They spend 61% of their time on “work about work” (e.g. meetings and status checks) and believe they could save a whole working day each week if processes were improved.

As a result, almost 9 in 10—the highest proportion globally—experienced burnout in the last year and 92% are working late, by an average of 2 hours 42 minutes per week.

To understand how the office has changed, what’s working and what’s not, and to shine a light on better approaches, we analyzed the attitudes and behaviors of over 13,000 knowledge workers globally, including 2,007 in the U.S.

The Anatomy of Work Index 2021 explores how individuals, teams, and entire organizations can bring clarity to the chaos through work management, reset for resilience, and flourish as they move forward.
