U.S. workers are missing over one-third of deadlines each week, spending more time in unnecessary meetings (187 hours a year), and on duplicated work/work that is no longer relevant (308 hours a year), than their global counterparts. They spend 61% of their time on “work about work” (e.g. meetings and status checks) and believe they could save a whole working day each week if processes were improved. As a result, almost 9 in 10—the highest proportion globally—experienced burnout in the last year and 92% are working late, by an average of 2 hours 42 minutes per week.
