### What is Weft?

Weft shows leadership how a company's teams actually work together, and where work rests on a single person. Connect Asana and Weft reads who assigns tasks to whom and who comments on whose tasks, never task names, descriptions or comment text. Add GitHub, Linear, Jira, Google Workspace or Slack and Weft combines them into one picture.

###### Key features of the integration:
- See which teams work together in Asana and which rarely do, based on shared projects and tasks.
- Find links between teams that depend on a single person, so you can add a second point of contact.
- Get a quarterly report on how your teams are structured. Weft never scores or ranks any individual.
- Weft reads task metadata (assignees, collaborators, dates) and never stores task text or comments.
- Everyone a report mentions gets a private page that only they can see.

### How to connect Weft + Asana?

Follow these steps:
- Sign in at [https://app.weft.team](https://app.weft.team) using GitHub, Google, Linear or Slack. If you are new to Weft, you can create a workspace using any of these accounts.
- Open your workspace's Sources tab and choose "I use this company's Asana: connect it" on the Asana card.
- When prompted by Asana to grant Weft read-only access, approve the request with your work account. You need to be a member of your company's Asana organization, not a guest.
- Weft will import the last 12 months of activity for projects you have access to, and continue syncing nightly. Asana will now appear as Connected on your Sources tab.
