#### How does Asana's pricing work?

The free version of Asana is available for teams of up to 15 people. Asana Premium costs $10.99 per user per month when billed annually and $13.49 per user per month when billed monthly. The price of Asana Business is $24.99 per user per month when billed annually and $30.49 when billed monthly.

#### Does Asana offer a discount for nonprofits?

Asana is happy to offer eligible nonprofit organizations a discount on an Asana Premium or Asana Business annual plan. You can learn about the Asana Nonprofit Discount [here](/nonprofit).

#### What forms of payment do you accept?

You can purchase Asana with any major credit card. For annual subscriptions over 20 members, we can issue an invoice payable by bank transfer or check. Please contact us to arrange an invoice purchase. Monthly purchases must be paid for by credit card.

SEPA payment is now available for self serve customers in the EU for subscriptions in EUR only. PayPal is available for self serve customers for both annual and monthly subscriptions.

If PayPal is available your country, it will be listed as an option at checkout.

#### We need to change the number of people in our team. How will that work?

You'll be able to add or remove teammates at any time, even before changing your subscription. Once you have updated the people in your team, we ask that you correct your subscription to match your current usage (we'll remind you if you are over your seat limit). Our subscription offerings increase in increments of 5 users when total users are less than or equal to 30; increments of 10 when total users are between 30 and 100; increments of 25 when total users are between 100 and 500; and increments of 50 when total users are more than 500. When you update your subscription, the change will take effect immediately, and a prorated charge or credit will be applied to your account.

#### How secure is Asana?

Protecting the data you trust to Asana is our first priority. Asana uses physical, procedural, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your information. We regularly back up your data to prevent data loss and aid in recovery. Additionally, we host data in secure SSAE 16 / SOC2 certified data centers, implement firewalls and access restrictions on our servers to better protect your information, and work with third party security researchers to ensure our practices are secure.

#### Should I upgrade my organization or my team?

Upgrade your entire organization if you want [admins](/guide/help/premium/admin-console) for your company and paid features for all teams.

An organization contains every Asana user from your company who shares your company email address - these are organization members. In an organization you can create multiple teams which are groups of organization members and/or guests. Guests do not count towards your organization’s seat limit. Within teams you can create projects for the people in that team to work on.

Based on your needs, you can choose which of these spaces you would like to upgrade to our Premium, Business or Enterprise tiers. You can upgrade the entire organization so that every team benefits from paid features, or you can choose to upgrade a single team with a team plan. You can even upgrade a specific group of teams under one subscription with a division plan. Individual team upgrades or division plans are usually the best option for teams in large companies.

#### Will I be charged sales tax?

Yes. As of February 2019, we will apply state and local sales tax based on your billing address to your total charge.

#### How does Asana store data?

Asana may be required to charge VAT, GST, and other taxes on your subscription in accordance with local laws and regulations. Some jurisdictions do not require VAT/GST to be charged if the purchaser is registered for VAT/GST. If you are registered for VAT or GST purposes, please add your VAT/GST registration number during the checkout process to have your exemption processed. #### Is there an on-premises version of Asana?

We are passionate about the web and do not plan to offer an internally hosted version of Asana.

#### How do I cancel my Asana subscription or trial?

It's easy to cancel your subscription. To cancel a paid plan, log in to the Asana account you wish to cancel, click your profile photo from the right of the top bar, select Admin console, navigate to the Billing tab, and then select Cancel Plan. Only a billing owner of a paid account may cancel a paid plan. To cancel a trial, follow the same steps, and click Cancel trial. You can cancel at any time during the trial period. If you cancel on or before your trial expiration date, your account will not be charged. After canceling, when you reach your plan renewal or trial expiration date, you will then be able to continue to use Asana Basic. #### What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds. If you cancel your plan before the next renewal cycle, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your subscription period. When your subscription expires, you will lose access to paid features and all data associated with those features.

#### How does Asana store data?

The Asana Subscription Service is hosted on dedicated servers within industry leading and secure data centers provided by Amazon Web Services. These data centers provide 24-hour physical security including biometric access controls and continuous surveillance. Furthermore, these data centers have achieved and maintain SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 compliance.

#### How many users are included in my plan?

Asana offers flexible subscription options based on the features you need and the size of your team. For smaller teams, we have plans designed for 2 members.

#### How is AI Studio priced?

AI Studio is available on Starter, Advanced, Enterprise, and Enterprise+ plans.

AI Studio is available in three options:
- **AI Studio Basic:**Included access to AI Studio to explore how AI can help take on routine, manual work (includes rate limits).
- **AI Studio Plus:**Paid access to AI Studio to level up productivity for individuals and small teams (available on monthly &amp; annual plans).
- **AI Studio Pro:**Paid access to AI Studio to scale complex workflows and business operations with advanced billing controls (available on an annual plan).
