# Kodem Security

### What is Kodem Security?

Kodem Security brings vulnerability data and remediation guidance into the Asana projects your teams already work in.

Create an Asana task for any Kodem security issue, manually or automatically with Kodem workflows. Each task includes Kodem's fix suggestions, risk context and a link back to the issue, so engineers can prioritize and fix issues without switching tools.

When an issue is resolved, dismissed or updated in risk level in Kodem, the task gets a comment and a tag, so your team always sees its current state.

With your permission, Kodem reads your workspace's projects, sections, custom fields, users and tags so you can choose where tasks go and how they're filled in. It writes only to create tasks, add comments and tags, and attach a link to the Kodem issue. It never deletes or changes your existing Asana data. Disconnect anytime from Kodem's integration settings.

### How to connect Kodem Security + Asana?

###### Prerequisites:
- A Kodem Security account with admin access, and an Asana workspace.

###### Follow these steps:
- In Kodem, go to **Integrations** and select **Asana**.
- Click **Connect**. You will be redirected to Asana to approve the requested permissions, then returned to Kodem.
- On the Asana configuration page in Kodem, choose which events add a comment or tag to linked tasks (e.g., issue resolved, dismissed, or risk changed).

###### Using the app:
- **Create a task**: Open any security issue on Kodem's Triage page, click **Create Ticket**, choose **Asana**, pick a project (and optionally a section, assignee, due date and custom fields), then click **Create**.
- **Link an existing task**: From the same menu choose **Link existing**, and paste the Asana task URL.
- **Automate**: In Kodem Governance > Workflows, add a "**Create Asana Task**" action with a task template. Matching issues will create tasks automatically.
- **Sync updates**: When an issue is resolved, dismissed or changes risk in Kodem, the linked task receives a comment and a tag.

To disconnect, remove the Asana integration in Kodem's integration settings.
