Asana is looking for a User Acquisition Manager to join our growing Marketing team. You will be managing cross-channel paid marketing campaigns that get new users into the Asana product efficiently and at scale.

The ideal candidate should have cross-channel experience with a variety of paid channels (e.g. Facebook, Google AdWords, YouTube) and be able to leverage that experience into thoughtful campaigns that move users through Asana’s acquisition funnel. This is a “full-stack” role that touches nearly every aspect of running large-scale digital advertising campaigns and candidates should be prepared to both craft strategy and get their hands dirty with execution.


  • Strategizing, planning, and executing campaigns on social, display, video, and mobile ad channels that acquire high-quality Asana users efficiently and at scale
  • Setting goals, allocating budgets, and forecasting performance for campaigns
  • Testing new audience targeting, messaging, landing pages, bidding strategies, and optimization tactics to expand volume and improve efficiency
  • Implementing robust reporting processes that deliver actionable insights into campaign performance and tactical next steps
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to craft messaging, design ads, build landing pages, improve reporting, and ensure that our ad programs are positively impacting Asana’s bottom line


  • 3–6 years hands-on experience strategizing, planning, and executing digital ad campaigns
  • Consider yourself an expert on least one of the following: Google AdWords, Facebook, Twitter, Doubleclick Bid Manager, AdRoll, Quantcast, LinkedIn, YouTube, or a similar performance marketing platform
  • Understand the role of brand advertising, video, and written content in a multi-touch user acquisition funnel
  • Driven to constantly improve campaign performance using a “launch-test-measure-iterate” style feedback loop
  • Obsessed with getting the most bang for your digital marketing buck; you know how your campaigns drive key marketing objectives and have the analytical and Excel skills to prove it
  • Plugged into the world of digital advertising; you know which ad partners and platforms are worth testing and have ideas for which strategies to deploy for maximum impact
  • Excited to spread the word about Asana and get more companies using the product


  • Experience running digital marketing campaigns at a SaaS company with a freemium or trial business model
  • Split-testing experience across ads and landing pages
  • Advanced analytical experience, including SQL proficiency or investment banker-level Excel skills
  • Experience with multi-touch attribution modeling
  • Proven success crafting digital marketing copy that drives results
  • Basic web development skills that allow you to craft landing pages
