Content Marketing Manager

At Asana we’re building a communication platform that enables teamwork without email. We are passionate about educating teams and leaders on how improve their effectiveness and do great things. We are looking for someone to tell the Asana story to our existing users, and all knowledge workers.

The Content Marketing Manager at Asana identifies, writes, packages, and distributes marketing content that introduces, educates, and engages users with Asana and our mission. You’ll manage the editorial calendar and writing for the Do More section of the Asana Guide and the Asana blog. The range of topics include everything from educational how-to’s and product best practices, to teamwork, leadership, and our vision for the future of work.

You have experience writing in many different formats, and you are comfortable working with a marketing team, including designers and a video producer to enhance the content you produce. You’ll work closely with the marketing, support, sales, and product teams to identify content opportunities, then efficiently turn those ideas into blog posts and Guide articles. You are eager to share the Asana story, and encourage other Asanas to do the same by helping them produce content and editing their writing.

Requirements

  • Deep experience planning, producing, distributing, and analyzing marketing content.
  • Enjoy writing both short-form and long-form content, including blog posts, educational, and thought-leadership articles.
  • Comfortable writing about technology, and have writing samples that demonstrate this ability.
  • Your writing has a point of view, and you can adopt and defend a specific voice in the content you create.
  • You understand how content you create should be shared, and are up to date with the evolving best practices for content marketing using blogs and social media.
  • Enjoy editing the writing of other team members.
  • Unfazed by deadlines. You can set a schedule and keep it.
  • Genuine empathy for users. You derive joy from helping users understand a product and succeed.
  • You enjoy working quickly. You can fire out 500 words before lunch.
  • You naturally resonate with Asana’s values and would represent those values in the content you produce.

Desirable

  • You regularly create content for Quora, Medium, your own blog, or a similar channel.
  • Experience interacting directly with software users - either in marketing, sales, or support. You get their perspective.
  • Experience working with video producers and/or designers, and you have an * understanding of how you can collaborate with these roles.
  • Personal interest in productivity and organizational efficiency.
  • Power user of Asana - discovering a new feature gets you excited.
