Sales Planning Analyst
San FranciscoApply nowAsana is looking for a talented, organized, and experienced self-starter to join the Revenue org as a Sales Planning Senior Analyst. In this critical strategic and operational role, you will be part of a small yet mighty team that will be responsible for the Annual Planning effort for all Sales. This includes the creation and oversight of sales territories and quotas, as well as collaborating with our Compensation team to deliver incentive plans to our Go-to-Market (GTM) teams.
You will be directly responsible for the build and communication of sales territories as well as ownership and maintenance of territories, quotas and capacity models in Anaplan. You will work closely with our operations and technology teams to scale data enrichment and territory management in Salesforce. Through this scope, the role offers a significant opportunity to impact the overall success of the global Asana sales team.
This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. Along with most Asanas, you’ll work from this office in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays. If you're interviewing for this role, your Talent Acquisition Partner will share more about the in-office requirements.
What you’ll achieve
- Ensure a Fast Start to every new fiscal year for the Revenue org
- Drive data-driven decision-making to proactively surface insights to the business
- Identify, own, and execute strategic initiatives to up-level and unlock growth for Asana’s revenue organization, often working cross-functionally across sales/strategy/marketing/finance/people and talent
- Demonstrate operational excellence by documenting best practices and creating global standardization
- Continue to move the planning process out of spreadsheets and into Anaplan
About you
- 4+ years experience supporting a Sales Team in a finance, strategy, or operations role
- Experience managing complex projects end-to-end; from inception to design to execution and, ultimately, impact
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally by building relationships and influencing others
- A systems thinker and Excel / GSheets ninja
- Track record of results in fast-moving environments and ability to excel under ambiguity

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $146,000 - $186,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
