We are looking for a Manager for Business Development Representative (BDR) Team to join our Tokyo-based Japan Sales team. As a BDR Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coaching the team and external vendors, and driving new business and delivering on the strategy for the Japan region. You will also be in charge of generating outbound leads for strategic enterprise accounts, and identify new prospects to build a qualified sales pipeline to further scale our business.

This is a great opportunity to develop your sales leadership skills and analytical and strategic abilities by working with a product-centric team that is perfecting a newer and more profitable technology sales engine. This position will report directly to the JAPAC Lead of Business Development.

What you’ll achieve:

  • Implement creative outbound strategies and generate new business pipeline and interest through calling on outbound leads on strategic accounts
  • Analyze sales data, identify challenges and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity for the team
  • Work and collaborate closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to build and implement new scalable outreach strategies 
  • Actively coach and professionally develop the team and external vendors regarding strategies to drive conversion rates and opportunity identification
  • Translate global strategy into regional initiatives and ensure team’s efficient execution while engaging with cross functional collaborators
  • Influence others through the explanation of policies, practices and procedures, both within and outside of job area
  • Represent the Japan BDR team to Sales leadership
  • Meet & exceed monthly and quarterly individual and team targets 

About you:

  • Experience in sales development with Strategic Enterprise customers and leading a successful team (preferably in B2B SaaS Experience)
  • Fluent Japanese speaker with business-level fluency in English
  • Strong ability to navigate complex business hierarchies and deal with complicated issues brought forward by c-level executives
  • A Winner attitude, someone who will not shy away from new challenges and is committed to succeed
  • Proficiency in collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve common goals
  • Expertise with data driven sales models
  • Passion for technology and an ability to speak knowledgeably about the industry
  • Clear communication, a deep sense of empathy, and a commitment to integrity
  • Excellent writing skills with attention to grammar and tone
  • An analytical thinker who can see trends across vast amounts of data
  • A self-starter who can diagnose inefficiencies and optimize processes to maximize results

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit. 

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between JPY 9,680,000 - JPY 12,320,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
