We’re looking for an analytical, detail-oriented, and empathetic leader to help us achieve our operational and financial goals while embodying our company values. You will join a world-class Accounting and Finance team, and will be involved in all general areas of accounting and assisting in multiple ad hoc projects - month-end close, audit, ensuring accuracy with multiple finance system integrations, as well as other fun accounting challenges! 

You have exceptional communication skills and are not afraid to speak up. You are a process improver that can easily pick up the high level business goals and apply them to the accounting operations. 

What You’ll Achieve

  • Manage team of accountants, mentor and coach the team  in implementing best in class processes and coach team members for success
  • Subject matter expertise in accounting for the areas of leases, equity and accruals and ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders that touch these areas
  • Partner closely with the finance systems team on data model options and architecture of our ERP in order to support the best practices in financial reporting 
  • Ability to partner and influence cross functionally and make improvements across all end-to-end accounting process (automating reconciliations, reporting, preparing and reviewing accounting transactions)
  • Experience with leveraging an outsource vendor model, ensuring proper setup, monitoring, and risk mitigation for long-term success and scale
  • Continuous Improvement mindset, identify pain points, research and propose potential solutions that support scalability
  • Own various controls for SOX across various accounting processes
  • Prepare and review support to be provided to external audit team
  • Ad hoc preparation of accounting memorandums as needed
  • Deep understanding of GAAP and how to apply accounting rules across various processes and systems
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in accounting

About You

  • Ability to be flexible and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needs
  • 7+ years experience with at least 2 years of people management experience
  • Passion for mentoring and coaching others
  • Demonstrated ability in building relationships across organizations while embracing different perspectives 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • CPA active or inactive
  • Strong experience with large ERP systems (we use Netsuite!)
  • Experience in public accounting and/or a technical accounting role in a multinational public company or pre-IPO/high growth company
  • Bachelor or higher degree in accounting or finance
