Culinary Operations Manager

We’re looking for an operations expert in food service and program management to help us achieve our operational and administrative goals while embodying our team and company values.  You will join a world-class Culinary team as our Culinary Operations Manager.  The Culinary Operations Manager is an experienced operator with a history of managing a team of direct reports and overseeing programs at large scale. Responsibilities will include, overseeing our catering vendor partner, partnering with Chef de Cuisine on overall flow of services, and collaborating with the Culinary Management team in creating and executing our program vision. This is a cross-function role, working with IT, AV, Design and Workplace Teams.  

The Culinary Operations Manager is a crucial part of our culinary team. This position leads operations, manages vendor onboarding, supports the execution of events and beverage programs. Success in this role is dependent on detail orientation, willingness to listen and co-create, ability to get great things done fast. 

What you’ll achieve

  • Joining the Asana Culinary Management Team as the lead in operations for HQ
  • Establish and maintain onboarding guidelines for vendors and AC employees
  • Managing the Chef de Cuisine to align menu planning and service model with AC standards
  • Support Culinary Program Lead with purchasing orders and invoicing for culinary department 
  • Support in writing and editing culinary guidelines for internal staff 
  • Oversee all onboarding and support vendor onboarding with IT needs 
  • Be a key stakeholder in culinary events planning and execution
  • Be the primary support for FOH staff in education and mentorship 
  • Own operations at HQ, implementing current systems identifying inefficiencies and ideating and developing new processes in collaboration with Management Team

About you

  • 7+ years experience in a culinary leadership role [FOH + BOH]
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Experience with direct reports and comfort with people management
  • Strong motivational and problem solving skills, interest in new technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Experience controlling inventory and working with large budgets
  • Diverse service background including casual to fine dining, onsite corporate food service, catering, events, high volume and multi-unit experience
  • Familiarity with dietary restrictions, food safety protocols, global cuisines, nutrition and wellness
  • Current ServSafe Manager certification 
  • Flexible schedule and availability based upon business needs
  • Hospitality is second nature, you thrive in a fast paced environment and can manage events with poise
