Non Profit Mid-Market Account Executive

Asana for Nonprofits is looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, impact-motivated sales professional who holds themselves accountable to achieving results.  As one of the first members of our growing Nonprofit sales team, this role will be instrumental in helping to define Asana’s go-to-market strategy for the nonprofit sector.  Responsible for landing and expanding business with nonprofit customers, this role will bring innovation and energy to identifying opportunities to scale our business while maximizing customer value. You'll join a talented team focused on helping our nonprofit customers understand and leverage the power of Asana.  

What you’ll achieve:

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of nonprofit customers, serving as their main point of contact
  • Prospect and close expansion opportunities within your book of business (up-sell, cross-sell)
  • Leverage your customer relationships to ensure successful renewals 
  • Develop customer champions to expand usage within new teams and departments
  • Engage with nonprofit executives and IT contacts to deploy Asana wall-to-wall
  • Experiment with new processes and revenue streams that drive value for nonprofit customers
  • Be a key player in influencing how Asana achieves its revenue goals on the Nonprofit team
  • Define territory and account strategies to exceed targets in partnership with a smart and collaborative sales enablement team. 
  • Pattern recognize and help strategize the nonprofit go-to-market strategy

About You:

  • 4+ years closing experience in an sales role or equivalent  
  • Experience working directly with or knowledge of the nonprofit sector
  • Full sales-cycle management skills, from prospecting to close, including up-selling, cross-selling, and new business prospecting. 
  • Impeccable customer skills: communication, empathy, and integrity
  • Ability to set repeatable processes that support a high volume of customer interactions
  • Ability to advocate equally for the user and Asana in overcoming challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with line-of-business leaders, IT and/or nonprofit executives
  • Adaptable to changing conditions
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Solution oriented
