Employee Relations Business Partner

We’re looking for a resilient and agile program builder to enhance and constantly optimize for our Company and team mission by automating processes where possible and creating and enhancing a scalable employee relations model that maintains a high-touch, genuine human approach and dedication to each process throughout its evolution

What you’ll achieve

  • Be an inaugural member of an employee relations team working to establish a world class employee relations program;   
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, coaching, advising, and empowering them to work through even their most challenging people issues; 
  • Intake complaints and conduct and coordinate internal investigations, where necessary, into allegations of harassment, discrimination, bullying and retaliation to facilitate prompt, fair and effective resolution of issues; 
  • Partner with a variety of stakeholders (People Partners (HR Business Partners), Legal, Leadership, etc.) to facilitate prompt, fair, and effective resolution of employee relations concerns and escalated performance management matters; 
  • Analyze people experience trends, and partner with internal stakeholders to improve our processes and develop proactive strategies, programs, and policies; and
  • Advise on corrective and preventative measures based on root cause analysis from investigations, pragmatic business enhancements and mitigation strategies, including identification of training needs. 

You have:

  • 5+ years of People Operations (Human Resources) experience with 3+ years successfully handling difficult and often complex employee matters in a fast-paced, high-growth environment;
  • Specific experience managing complex harassment/discrimination/retaliation investigations is required;
  • An ability to assess an intersection of employee needs and entitlements and help to navigate to an appropriate and holistic outcome; 
  • A deep sense of compassion for the employee experience, including an awareness and consideration of and the social & cultural context that shapes that experience;  
  • Solid judgment, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive matters;
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with participants in an investigation and  inspire trust in the investigations function;
  • Assist in setting the Employee Relations strategy and approach for the team; 
  • Ability to push back when asked or encouraged to deviate from process or your best judgement;  
  • A strong sense for when to operate independently, and when to seek support on an issue; 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to easily connect with people of varied backgrounds and role levels;  
  • A knack for process development and improvement; 
  • General knowledge of employment laws and best practices to manage legal risk;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a high growth, fast paced and often unpredictable environment.
