Software Engineer, Identity Team

What you’ll achieve

  • Lots of greenfield work that is very leveraged in changing the entirety of the Asana product
    • For example - be part of changing the underlying access model and the product-wide definition of a ‘user’
  • Participate in every step of the product development process with an open and curious team, and work cross functionally with great PMs, designers, and data scientists
  • Develop clean, beautiful code and leave it better than you found it
  • Experience growth and development by being paired with a mentor who will support and guide you through opportunities to stretch and learn; while simultaneously having the opportunity to mentor more junior colleagues
  • This team is part of the org owning the product experience for the next 5 years

About you

  • 4+ years of experience working within large, well maintained codebases
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with others on the team or outside of it
  • Sound judgment when balancing moving quickly with producing quality code and long-term code maintainability
  • Passionate about creating a superlative user experience while being attentive to details
    • All of the code that we write has immediate user impact
  • Appreciate productivity and care deeply about helping teams collaborate more effectively and efficiently, including your own
  • Excited to be a part of an inclusive culture where everyone brings their whole selves to work
  • Expertise in User Interface Engineering or motivation to build this expertise on the job
  • (Nice to have) Familiarity with TypeScript, Javascript/HTML/CSS, React, and Scala
