Software Engineer, Infrastructure

The Infrastructure team builds the foundation we need to support our web and mobile applications, as well as our robust API. We build and operate the software that enables Asana’s security, scalability, and performance. Each day, we combine industry best-practices and innovation to support this product-focused company.

The Reykjavik Office is looking for Software Engineers to join Asana’s Core Infrastructure organization. At the Reykjavik office, we focus on the layout of our global infrastructure and services. Most recently, we’ve been working on separating our backend services into smaller isolated cells, which helps with limiting impact of failures. We’ve also been working on how to scale our services and tooling to allow us to manage multiple regions in a scalable way. Internally, we refer to this as Infrastructure Topology, and the Reykjavik office owns this scope start to finish.

Asana has a rich culture of individual empowerment and team autonomy. This cultural aspect has been an important pillar for the Reykjavik Office to thrive and deliver impactful projects for Asana. The Reykjavik office has a blend of a small startup, where we take turns watering the plants and ordering snacks for the snack bar, while being part of the bigger culture and mission of Asana, where local employees have impact far beyond the walls of the local office.
