### What is Export With Comments?

Export With Comments lets you download an Asana project together with its full comment threads, so the discussion, approvals and decisions behind each task come with it. Asana's built-in CSV export leaves comments out and they're often the part people need most. Sign in with Asana, pick a project, and get a file you can share, archive or review outside Asana. It's useful for client handoffs, project archives, audits, records requests, and status reports that need the latest comments.

- Export to CSV, Excel (comments on their own sheet) or a readable PDF you can send to people outside Asana.
- Export several projects in one run.
- A progress bar for large projects, with the ability to resume if an export gets interrupted.
- The app never creates, edits or deletes anything in Asana.
- The export runs in your browser, and we don't store your tasks or comments

CSV export of one project at a time is free. A $39 one-time license per user adds Excel, PDF and multi-project export.

### How to connect Export With Comments + Asana?

Follow these steps:
- Open [https://exportcomments-app.pages.dev/](https://exportcomments-app.pages.dev/) and click **Sign in with Asana**.
- Approve read-only access on asana.com. You will automatically return to the app.
- Pick a workspace and a project, check the box confirming you're copying the data out of Asana, and click **Start export**.
- Download the CSV (free), or the Excel or PDF file (requires a license). Larger projects may take longer to complete. If interrupted, simply reopen the page and resume.
- To disconnect, click **Sign out**, and remove the app in your Asana **Apps** settings if you want access to end before the token expires.
