## New: Find the info you need with sorting & filtering on Boards

You manage important work in your Boards projects—from creative requests to sprint planning to candidate tracking and everything in between. But as work progresses and you and your teammates continue to add tasks to your Board, your view of your project can quickly become busy and it can be hard to find the info that’s most important to you. Which is why we’re excited to announce that you can now filter and sort your tasks in your Boards projects!

With these new options to customize your view, you can move tasks through stages, sort by criteria like assignee, and filter by other criteria like custom fields.

## Find the information you need, faster

By sorting and filtering tasks on your board, you can easily see the project information that’s most important to you without having to manually scroll through each column. You can sort a board by assignee to see what each teammate is working on, by custom fields to see priorities, or by due date to see what work is overdue to help get it back on track.

You can sort tasks by:
- Assignee
- Custom field
- Due dates
- Likes
- Alphabetically

You can filter tasks by:
- Assignee
- Custom field (drop-down)
- Due dates

You can save your custom view as the default for your project, and your teammates can do the same, so everyone can keep their important work front and center as your project progresses and new tasks are added.

## How to sort and filter tasks on boards
- Click **Sort**or the **Filter**icon in the top right of your board.
- Select the criteria you want to sort and filter tasks by (you can do both!)
- Click **Save view for everyone**to set it as the default view for your team.

## Start sorting and filtering tasks on your boards today

We hope this new functionality makes it easier to manage your work with Boards in the view that works best for you and your team. If you’d like to learn more about Boards, check out the [Asana Guide](https://asana.com/guide/help/views/boards).
