# Asana Announces Microsoft Teams Partner Integration > In 2017, Asana will be integrating with Microsoft Teams to let Microsoft Teams users easily connect their projects and group chats in one place. Following Microsoft’s announcement of Microsoft Teams today, we’re excited to announce that Asana will be integrating with the new product, available once Microsoft Teams is generally available in early 2017. Microsoft Teams is part of Office 365, which has more than 85 million monthly active commercial users. As Asana grows into more businesses small and large (we’ve more than doubled our number of 1,000-plus seat deployments this year), we’re excited about the opportunity for our mutual customers to leverage the power of Asana inside Microsoft Teams. ## **Connecting conversations with results** For modern teams to work together effectively and achieve great results, we believe three types of collaboration tools—file creation and sharing, messaging and communication, and work tracking (like Asana)—are necessary. Group chat is an increasingly important form of collaboration, and with today’s product announcement, we believe Microsoft is extending its footprint in an area that’s essential for today’s workplace. As teams come together through conversations and sharing in Microsoft Teams, Asana lets them create structured tasks and projects to turn those discussions into action. Asana naturally complements messaging platforms like Microsoft Teams by providing instant clarity of plan and responsibility. With this new integration, group conversations in Microsoft Teams can happen side-by-side with an Asana project. This means that as collaborators discuss a project in Microsoft Teams, they’ll also have a shared view of all the related tasks for that project. You’ll even be able to add, assign, and complete tasks right from within Microsoft Teams. With less context switching and more visibility into the work itself, this integration will make team conversations much more effective and purposeful. ## Looking ahead to the Microsoft Teams launch Early next year, the many teams around the world that use Office 365 and Asana will be able to use this new integration to work together more effortlessly. Our mutual customers are already using Asana together with Microsoft products via email and sign-on integrations, and we look forward to building out deeper integrations with Microsoft’s other collaboration and productivity tools.
