Dashboards provide a high-level view of the progress and status of projects you and your Team are working on, so you can stay on the same page and quickly move work forward.
Dashboards will display several of your projects’ progress chartprogress chart A burnup chart that shows contrasts a project's incomplete and complete tasks over time. There are several ways you can access your Dashboard.
To access Dashboards:
Click Dashboard in the top bar, and your Dashboard will load in the main panemain pane When you select a project, tag, or person, you will see the relevant list of tasks in the main pane. Read more .
To access Dashboards via the sidebar:
Click Project Actions using the three dot menu beside the project name in the sidebar, and select View in Dashboard.
To access Dashboards via the Progress tab in your project:
Click the Progress tab under the project name, and select View in Dashboard.
To access Dashboards using the dropdown menu in your project:
- Click on your project in the sidebar to open it
- Click the dropdown menu beside the project name
- Click View in Dashboard

Customize your Dashboard by adding or removing projects cards from it.
To add a project to your Dashboard:
- Click Dashboard
- Click Add Project Summary
- Enter the project’s name and select the project from the autocomplete results
- Click Add to My Dashboard
To remove a project from your Dashboard:
- Click Dashboard
- Hover over the project you wish to remove and click the X icon that appears
Sort projects in your Dashboard
You can sort projects in your Dashboard by different parameters.
To sort your Dashboard:
- Click View:
- Select the parameter that you want to sort your Dashboard by
Drag & drop project cards
Drag and drop projects cards in the Dashboard to reorder them.
Every Monday morning, a Dashboard digest email will be sent to you that will provide updates for every project currently on your Dashboard. This Dashboard digest will consist of each project’s latest status and its progress chart.
Click on any progress chart in the Dashboard digest and it will redirect you its respective project.
Toggle Dashboard Digest Emails
- Click Dashboard
- Click the drop down arrow next to My Dashboard
- Select Notifications
- Select on/off to toggle your Dashboard Digest emails
Dashboard Reporting with Google Sheets
You can also export your Dashboard’s data into Google Sheets to dive even deeper into your projects.
With this integration, you can access project data directly from Asana and create custom reports and visualizations to see what’s on track and what needs attention—all from within Google Sheets.
Click Open Report in Google Sheets from your Dashboard.

The free version allows you to have up to 3 projects on your Dashboard and therefore, 3 projects in your Google Sheets report.
