Asana Task Pane Changes
Asana makes it easier to track your work and manage tasks. To make task management even better, we’ve updated the task pane so the most important actions and details are most visible. That way, you can more easily complete tasks and see what needs to be done, when.
Task pane updates
To complete a task, click the Mark Complete button in the top left hand of your task pane. Once completed, this button will turn green so it’s clear that the task is complete or not. Just below this, you’ll find the task name, assignee, and due date so the most important information is all at the top of a task.
To see completed tasks, click the filter icon in the top right corner of a list or board view.
Task actions menu updates
To make the task pane easier to use, we’ve also updated the icons at the top. Clicking them will immediately let you: attach a file, create subtasks, copy the task URL, like the task, (and if enabled) track time spent on the task.
Adding tasks to multiple projects
All projects your task is a part of will be listed under the task description, and tasks can appear in multiple projects (without duplicating the task itself.) If you’d like to add your task to another project, hover over the current project and click the grey + button that appears. Then type the name of the other project you want to add it to.
