Lists on Android
Tap the square list icon at the top of the app to create a new project or access any projectsprojects Projects are lists of tasks. Read more , starsstars Users can star projects, people, tags, or custom search views to easily access them in the sidebar. Read more , or recentsrecents Recently accessed items appear under Recents in the sidebar. Recents are indicated with a clock icon. Read more in the Workspace or Organization you are viewing.
Tap any item from this list to view its corresponding tasks.
Create a project or team
With the list drawer open, tap the + sign to create a new project or Team.
In the next screen, enter the project’s name and select whether it should be a list or board project. In Organizations, you must also select a TeamTeam A team is a group of people in an Organization who are working together on a collection of projects. Read more to create the project in.
You can only select a Team that you belong to.
View All Projects
The drawer will only display your *starsstars Users can star projects, people, tags, or custom search views to easily access them in the sidebar. Read more ** and recentsrecents Recently accessed items appear under Recents in the sidebar. Recents are indicated with a clock icon. Read more . To see the rest of the projects in the Workspace or Organization, tap **View All Projects at the bottom of the screen with the project list drawer open.
In Organizations, the View All Projects list is organized by TeamsTeams A team is a group of people in an Organization who are working together on a collection of projects. Read more you can star the project, join the Team the project lives in, view members, and add your face to the row of members.
Expand the project page by clicking the three dot symbol.
Opening the project page will allow you to:
- View the project’s taskstasks Tasks are the basic unit of work in Asana. Tasks can represent any kind of work, break down work into smaller pieces, or store information. Read more
- View the project’s conversationsconversations Conversations are how users communicate in Asana. Start a conversation on any project or team page. Read more
- Edit the project
- Copy the project URL
- Share the project directly
- Delete the project
Sort Task Lists
You can sort your task lists by completion status or by due datedue date The date that a task or subtask is due. Read more .
To sort your list of tasks:
Tap the drop down arrow next to the task list’s name.
Select your desired sorting option.
Drag & Drop
Tap and hold tasks to drag and drop them to manually order your tasks.
Drag & Drop is only possible when the list is sorted by priority.
Swipe to Complete
Swipe a task left or right to mark it completecomplete To mark a task with a checkmark to indicate that it is done. Read more .
If you have the Celebrations Hack enabled, you may see a narwhal jet triumphantly across your screen after completing a task.
View Task Details
Tap any task’s name to view or edit its details.
Tap the name of the item you’re currently viewing, directly underneath the project name. For example, if you’re currently viewing the task list in your project, this item will appear as Task List. From this menu you can choose to view the project’s task list, Calendar, Conversations, member list and project name and description.
Select Calendar from this list to view your Project Calendar.
