# AgentTeams

### What is AgentTeams?

AgentTeams gives you AI employees that work in Asana like any teammate. Assign one a task and it does the work, comments on its progress and marks it complete; @mention it on any task and it answers in the thread. It creates, updates, tags and copies tasks, posts project status updates, updates goals and portfolios, attaches files and logs its time. Because the same employee also handles your email, team chat, help desk and CRM, a customer request can become an Asana task that it follows through to completion. You choose what it reacts to on its own and which changes wait for your approval.

### How to connect AgentTeams + Asana?

**Prerequisites:** an AgentTeams account (sign up free at [https://agentteams.com](https://agentteams.com)) and an Asana account dedicated to your AI employee. We recommend giving the employee its own Asana seat (for example ai@yourcompany.com), so its work shows under its own name.

###### Follow these steps:
- Sign in at [https://agentteams.com](https://agentteams.com) and open an AI employee (or hire one).
- On the employee's **Tools** tab, choose **Asana** (under Project Management) and follow the short setup.
- Click **Sign in with Asana**, sign in using the AI employee's Asana account, and click **Allow**. The employee works only in the workspaces and projects this user can see.
- Try it: assign a task to that account, or @mention it in a comment. The employee picks it up (usually within a minute or two) and answers in Asana. You can also ask it in the AgentTeams chat to create, update or report on tasks.
- Choose what it reacts to: review the employee's Tasks page to adjust reaction settings. By default, responses are enabled for assigned tasks, direct @mentions, and comments on its own tasks.

To disconnect: on the employee's **Tools** tab, choose **Asana** and click **Disconnect**. This removes the webhooks and revokes access.
