# SZNotes + Asana

> Create Asana tasks from meeting action items so follow-ups leave the call ready to work.

### What is SZNotes?

SZNotes turns meeting notes into action items your team can push into Asana in one click. Connect your Asana account from SZNotes Settings, choose a default workspace and project, then open any action item and create a matching Asana task—with optional assignee matching, due date, status, and parent task (subtask).

Notes come from tools your team already uses (Google Docs / Gemini, Zoom AI Companion summaries, Read.ai, or manual entry). SZNotes creates tasks you choose; it does not import Asana projects into your notes and does not sync Asana comments or status back. Free plans include one push destination, while Pro and Team plans include unlimited destinations.

### How to connect SZNotes + Asana?

Prerequisites:
- A SZNotes account at [https://sznot.es](https://sznot.es) (sign up for free).
- An Asana account with access to the workspace and project where tasks should land.
- Edit access on the SZNotes meeting or action items you want to export.

Steps:
- Sign in to SZNotes at [https://sznot.es/login](https://sznot.es/login).
- Open Settings and select Connected Accounts.
- Next to Asana, click Connect and authorize the integration.
- After you return to SZNotes, choose a default Asana workspace and an optional default project, then click Save.
- Open Action Items (or a meeting), select an action item, and click Sync.
- Confirm the workspace and project (defaults are pre-filled). Optionally set status, create as a subtask, or pick a parent task.
- Choose Create Asana task. SZNotes creates the task and stores a link on the action item.
- Open the link to view the task in Asana.

How to Disconnect:
- To remove the integration, go to Settings → Connected Accounts → Asana, and click Disconnect.
- Once disconnected, SZNotes will revoke the stored tokens. Any tasks you have already created will safely remain in Asana.
