When a task is added in Asana, an item can be created in monday.com and all future changes will automatically sync, ensuring both tools remain aligned. Likewise, when new items are created in monday.com, corresponding tasks can be generated in Asana, allowing teams to continue working in their preferred tool.

The integration supports multiple automation recipes, including:
- When a task is added to an Asana project, create a monday.com item and sync future changes (Asana → monday.com)
- When a new monday.com item is created, automatically create an Asana task (monday.com → Asana)

### How to connect monday.com by Stargate Apps + Asana?

This is a third-party integration between Asana and monday.com, built by Stargate Apps. You will need a monday.com account and an Asana account.

- Log into your monday.com account and open an available board.
- Click the Automate section in the top-right corner.
- Click either Create from scratch or Manage -> Create automation.
- When selecting a trigger, type "Asana" into the search bar to reveal the app's custom triggers. Select one (for example: "In this workspace, when a task is completed in a project").
- Set up the trigger by linking your Asana account (click the app icon within the trigger), then select your desired workspace and project.
- Select an action by searching for "Asana" again. Choose the custom action that says "create an item in a board and sync all future changes from Asana".
- Map the fields according to your preferences, then click Create automation.
- Switch over to Asana and either mark a task as completed or add a new one (depending on the trigger you chose) to test and run your new automation.
