# Git-Zen + Asana

> Sync Zendesk tickets to Asana tasks across any project. Support and product stay on the same page.

### What is Git-Zen: Zendesk for Asana?

Git-Zen for Asana gives cross-team escalations a place to land instead of falling through the cracks in Slack. Create an Asana task directly from a Zendesk ticket. With project, section, assignee, due date, and tags set at creation time. And every update flows back into the ticket automatically!

Key features:
- Create Asana tasks from Zendesk with project, section, assignee, due date, and tags set at creation.
- Two-way comment sync: Asana comments appear in Zendesk, and ticket comments post back to Asana.
- Link as many Asana tasks as needed to a single ticket, with auto-tagging when a linked task is completed.
- Reference a Zendesk ticket from any Asana task comment; it links back automatically.
- Role-based permissions control which agents can create or modify Asana tasks.

Agents never need their own Asana seat. Git-Zen acts on behalf of your connected workspace.

### How to connect Git-Zen: Zendesk for Asana + Asana?
- Install Git-Zen for Asana from the Zendesk Marketplace.
- Open any Zendesk ticket, the Git-Zen sidebar appears automatically.
- Click "Connect Asana" and authorize Git-Zen via OAuth.
- Choose your default Asana workspace, project, and section for new tasks (changeable per-ticket).
- Create a task straight from the ticket, or link an existing task by pasting its URL.

Prerequisite: an Asana workspace with permission to create tasks in the target project. No individual Asana seat needed for agents.
